This creates a very awkward disbalance.Īlso it appears the pulsing sound from waypoints and quest announcer voices are right-ear only as well (which is very odd given the waypoints even if you run around them, the pulsing stays in the right ear). an earth elemental casting their ground shake under your feet) all play in the right ear not the center. The problem are the positional action FX (such as throwing an Axe) or Positional AOE effects at the center of the character (i.e. To reaffirm, the music and ambient environmental FX play just fine. Load up GW2 and try again, I can’t hear any form of distortion, or loss of fidelity in the sound, and the 7.1 surround emulation works fine. This is for Windows Vista, can’t imagine it’s that different on 7 or 8. Thanks for any advice in getting this working System I’m running on is Vista Business 圆4 The one thing I can find is that the G930 Headphones, under device properties default to 16bit, 48000Hz, where as my standard speaker set, using a Realtek AC97 onboard chip default to 24bit, 44100Hz. I’ve also tried using standard headphones, cannot emulate the problem with those and I don’t have another USB headphone set to try and see if it’s a problem there. I’ve updated the Logitech drivers, made sure the Logitech gaming software as well as GW2 are running as Administrator.
The only other problem I’ve had with these headphones was related to an Adobe Flash bug that made the left ear quiet, though I would be surprised to find if these two issues were linked at all (the latest Adobe update seems to have solved this problem anyway) Playing the game using a 5.1 speaker set, no problem, everything plays as I would expect it to. Hey guys, here’s an interesting problem I’ve come across, when playing the game using my G930 wireless headphones, the game sound effects only play from the right ear, while the music still plays in Stereo.
